Fearless Selling - How to develop the mindset to deliver extraordinary sales results In football (or most other team sports), if you or I sent the two teams on to the field of play but removed the goals, what would they do? How would they act? What would be their purpose? Sales is the engine that drives the economy and goals are a fundamental part of the sales process. If you and I don't know what we need to achieve, how do we know whether what we're doing supports the economy, the business or ourselves? And, once we know our goals, how much are we prepared to commit to hitting them and how will we deal with distractions? This session looks at the COMMITMENT element of mental toughness which is about having the mindset to make promises to ourselves and to others, setting goals for the important aspects of our life and doing whatever is necessary to deliver on those promises. The session will explore the two factors that contribute to our COMMITMENT mentality: our goal orientation and our achievement orientation. In a sales environment, this is about having a measurable purpose and the tenacity to contribute to the profitability and success of the business. Developing COMMITMENT is about developing the aspiration to do well and the grit to keep going when hitting difficult situations or the inevitable troughs which occur in the sales cycle.
