Video Summary
A Personal Development Plan (PDP) should be a living document, not a yearly tick-box exercise. Suzanne Griffiths says it should help you “blow your own trumpet” and showcase your growth. A strong PDP includes seven parts: objectives, current status, planned actions, timescales, key learnings, the “so what” for the business, and manager feedback. She also advises being clear about your “why,” setting realistic goals, planning around obstacles, and keeping the PDP updated with achievements, feedback, and “wow moments” so it stays useful for development, promotion, and performance.
